The threat of drones is no longer hypothetical, it’s imminent. Drone “attacks” are happening every day (read about them here). Whether it’s an airport, a military base, or even just a local public venue, drones are on the rise and now is the time to act.

LANTA Group has a solution for any installation type. Our solutions are scalable, flexible and best of all integratable with other, third-party systems and technologies.

In order to detect a drone, you must have a combination of multiple technologies. Since drones are capable of flying at extremely low altitudes, they are not always detectable by traditional, line-of-sight technologies such as radar and laser used for aircraft detection. The other major concern for drones, or UAVs, is that while most are remotely controlled, they can also be operated completely autonomously using waypoints and schedules (I.E. a drone could be scheduled to liftoff at a later time and fly by waypoint to a destination of choice – it could be placed days before actually being used.)

Our system was designed to detect both 1) Drones that are not remote-controlled and 2) Drones in an environment where there is no line of sight (I.E. heavy forest, trees, buildings, etc.)

Drones can be misused in many different ways:

The problem is simple, airspace, but the solution is also simple: Detect and deter before it’s too late!

With a range of about 1000 meters, we are able to detect a drone many times before it evens lifts off the ground. Using multiple sensors we can also narrow down the location of the operator, when they are in range.

Once a drone is detected, defense systems can go into action. The first of which is typically a surveillance system. Using triangulation and special algorithms, we can track the drone and guide cameras to capture it on screen and in recordings – automatically. Next, we can take action on the drone. For example, cloaking devices for sensitive sites (fog bomb, shutters/blinds, locks, disabling Wifi, etc.) or anti-drone counter-measures for authorized sites (jamming signals, deploying anti-drones, EMP, fog bombs, Lasers, etc.) can be deployed. Lastly, notifications can be sent to local security officers, neighboring buildings, air traffic control, or other interested parties. With an open API platform, any number of actions can take place at any stage of the intrusion.

Forensic Evidence

RF Sensor

Drone Detection Radar

Detection systems need to maintain their capabilities under low visibility conditions and in urban environments full of obstacles and moving objects. The Drone Detection Radar is specifically designed to meet these challenges.

The radar system covers a full 360 degrees view. It detects larger fixed wing targets at a range of nine kilometres, and smaller multi-rotor drones detected at up to three kilometres. However, completely securing an area, requires more than just range detection. It requires flexibility, reliability and provides unlimited coverage through its ability to combine multiple radar devices in

to an integrated sensor network. The output from multiple sensors is incorporated into one unambiguous picture.

Modular UAV Jamming System

The jammer system uses H.P.’s Direct Digital Synthesis Sweep and dedicated software to maximize its effectiveness. The system enables the operator to program the system quickly using a Windows®-based notebook or USB stick in order to adapt to any given threat scenario or use the system as tactical jammer.

The jammer system will jam drones using GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, WLAN 2.4 GHz and from 5000-6000 MHz.
